It is clean and equipped with many standard items, i.e. microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, etc. As extras which most vans on site of this size do not have is a freeview box and a DVD player with a 17" TV. The caravan does have some basic food items which are left from person to person visiting, i.e. tea, coffee, etc and would ask if you do use the last that you replace for the next person. There are also a selection of table condiments and sauces. Powered by gas and electric which are included in the rental price. There are electric radiators and gas fire and cooker. (If at any time the gas should run out please inform the site owners, who will arrange for that to be changed on our behalf).
Bowdens Crest - Langport
This caravan is situated on a family run holiday park which has 30 vans and a camping field for touring caravans on a 16 acre site in the heart of Somerset. The vans are a mix, of the site and those of the private owners. The site is set in a secluded quiet location, which is centrally placed as a base for travelling around Somerset and the Mendips, or slightly further afield the south coast of Dorset and Devon. One of the unusual details about this site is that it is open 12 months of year, but cannot be used as a primary address, with this in mind we can only take bookings of 12 weeks maximum. The site shop sells all the basics, essentials for your arrival like tea, coffee, sugar and milk, etc and also for the pocket money toys to keep the kids entertained why you are unpacking the car.
There is a bar/restaurant on site called Mad Hatters Club Bar and Murphys Kitchen which has been extended in 2005, this sells good priced beers, wines and spirits and a menu to tailor to all tastes from snacks to a full steak meal. A laundry room which has several washing machines and tumble dryers and facilities to handwash. There is also an area to hang out the washing on gloriously sunny days and let the fresh countryside air dry your clothes.
Also on site there is a games room, a childrens play area and a bird pond area. The location allows you to let the kids run about with the freedom of knowing they are safe on site.
The views are spectacular and well worth on a hot summer evenings sitting back with an ice cold drink watching the sunset over the tranquil landscape.
