Atlantic Bays Holiday Park (Formerly Point Curlew Holiday Park) is situated just two miles from the beautiful harbour town of PADSTOW and 10 miles from NEWQUAY. Buses run frequently from just across the road to many local areas, including most of the beaches.
The site has a family friendly atmosphere, with ample space for children to run and play,and safe areas for barbeques.
There are many places to eat out locally, and good shops in St Merryn, about 1/2 a mile away. The clubhouse facilities are now open following extensive rebuilding works. Across the road is a Chinese Takeaway and an Indian restaurant & Takeaway and an award winning Fish&Chip shop in St Merryn.
ACCOMMODATION
Chalet 154
The chalet is fully furnished and sleeps four-six, with one double room and a second room with bunk beds and a double bed settee in the lounge.
The chalet has a lounge area with a Freeview television, and a DVD player. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and table and chairs. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over.
Sorry no pets are allowed on the site at present.
Quilts and pillows are provided but you will need to bring your own bedding and towels etc.
PLACES TO VISIT (To name a few)
There are seven sandy beaches nearby (Seven Bays For Seven Days!)
You could learn to surf at Harlyn Bay with their excellent surf school.
At Treyarnon Bay there is a very large rock pool, excellent for a swim.
At Trevone you could walk up to the huge blow hole, made by the sea eating into the cliff from below.
Several of the beaches have Lifeguards on patrol.
The beautiful harbour town of Padstow is only two miles away. Perhaps you could see Rick Stein!!! Or what about a fishing trip? You may even see Dolphins and seals swimming in the estuary. Or take the ferry to Rock, where you can find a beach, restaurants and somewhere to have a drink while overlooking the activities in the estuary.
Newquay is only 10 miles away and is all family fun and has an aquarium, swimming pools, a zoo, great shopping and much much more. Not forgetting, of course, the world famous Fistral Beach, the world champion surfing venue.
Cornwall Creally is only two miles away and is all weather family fun. Great for kids of all ages, even Dad!
The famous EDEN project is about half an hours drive. Lots to see and do for all the family.
The coastal walks have breathtaking scenery, or perhaps you would prefer cycling on the Camel Trail!
There are several boat and fishing trips available from Padstow as well as trout and course fishing lakes nearby.
Trevose Golf Links is only a mile away, and several other courses in the area.
